with the means of our successful crowdfunding project we were able to produce merch for the first time in 2022. we bring it to every show of ours but you can also order vinyls, shirts or a jute bag online! as an independent newcomer band, we don't have a real shop yet. but if you want us to send you our merch just send us a message via the contact formula or instagram dm. after we received your donation* (paypal or regular transfer) the package will be delivered in about a week.
*we want everyone to able to afford our merch. that's why we're using a "pay what you want" principle, which means you can donate as much as you want to without fix prices. the numbers up here are recommendations based on the cost of production.

about
sun’s sons - that’s the up-and-coming band from Frankfurt which, within the last two years, has made a name for itself both online and with their - despite the obstacles of Covid - consistently growing live shows, threading the needle between danceable indie pop and intimate ballads. The songs of the five young musicians are exuberant and pensive, political and personal, meditative and full of “pathos” (FAZ), often all at once.
With the release of their debut EP “You & My Mind” in the spring of 2021 on streaming platforms and vinyl come numerous concerts in the Rhine-Main area as well as profiles in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and ZEIT Magazin. Then, in July of 2022, the next big project: after the winter break and the release both of the single “Striped Shirts” (with singer-songwriter Julie Kuhl) and of the title track, follows their sophomore EP “Clean Slate”, which, on the one hand, is exactly what it’s name suggests: a new beginning (everything from the production to its general ambition is bigger, fuller, braver), and, on the other hand, emphasizes sun’s sons’ characteristics and strengths:
finding the grand in the small, the spectacle in the more quiet notes and, at other points, screaming out what thus far had remained unspoken. With their constant swaying between hope and hopelessness, they speak for a generation of young people who get the rug pulled out from under them on a daily basis and who have learned to hold on to each other.
